Supporting the Colorado Charter School Institute’s and the Colorado Association of Charter School Authorizers

Safal Partners recently won a contract with the Colorado Charter School Institute (CSI), Colorado’s state-wide charter authorizing entity.  In this project, which continues previous contracts with CSI, Safal is supporting CSI’s effort to develop strategic partnership and facilitating the work of a fledgling organization, the Colorado Association of Charter School Authorizers (CACSA). This project is led by Safal’s Alex Medler. The initiative helps CSI better integrate its work into Colorado’s broader school choice and accountability efforts. Upcoming work with CSI will include convening a state-wide working group on overseeing Alternative Education Campuses.  Medler is helping CACSA develop a model charter school application package that reduces the burden on charter founders while safeguarding the authorizer’s need for rigor and clarity on key aspects of each charter’s design.
