Plácido Gómez is a Senior Associate at Safal Partners. Prior to joining Safal, he was a field manager for a US Senate campaign in Houston where he managed the outreach and communication strategy and was responsible for the daily operation of nine Houston field offices. Before joining the campaign, he was a high school math teacher in Weslaco, TX and San Antonio, TX. While an undergraduate student at Rice University, he co-founded of the Young Owls Leadership Program, a nonprofit that brings in Houston area high school students to Rice for a two-week intensive college application and leadership training. He graduated from Rice University in 2013 with a degree in Mathematical Economic Analysis and from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2016 with a master’s degree in Education Policy and Management.
