Developed online training modules to build Principal leadership skills.
The Bush Institute engaged Safal to help them create a roadmap for developing online training modules aimed at building principals’ skills as school leaders and managers of talent. The planning/feasibility phase was funded by the Gates Foundation and one of the deliverables was a concept proposal to be taken to Gates and others for the implementation phase. We worked with the client to build out the initial concept, identify the target audience and design the program, including content areas and technology delivery model, based on an extensive survey of the landscape and available technology options. Key accomplishments: (1) Facilitated design sessions around content and delivery for modules that brought together several leading experts (e.g., Paul Bambrick Santoyo from Uncommon Schools, Mark Murphy formerly from NLNS, Pam Ferner from New York Leadership Academy) and developed frameworks and recommendations; (2) Created a strategic plan, including the business model, and a detailed budget; (3) Drafted a proposal, outlining the program objectives, target audience, program design, implementation plan, resourcing structure, success factors and metrics, and the budget.
