Client Goals

The mission of the OME is to provide excellent leadership, technical assistance, and financial support to improve the educational opportunities and academic success of migrant children, youth, agricultural workers, fishers, and their families. The goal is to improve the implementation of the approximately 100 HEP and CAMP programs by supporting OME’s logistics, SME recruitment, and TA needs.

Safal Approach

The two primary TA efforts for which Safal is engaged are the Annual Directors Meeting (ADM) and the Mentoring Initiative. For the ADM, Safal designed, organized, and printed the meeting materials (signs, folders, agendas, and evaluation forms), arranged travel and lodging for speakers and student presenters, and conducted an analysis of  participants’  feedback on the ADM. For the Mentoring Initiative, Safal recruited and vetted subject matter experts to respond to questions and the need for mentoring. Safal facilitates meetings, organizes travel and lodging for mentors and subject matter experts, and collects data, creates reports, and monitors all Mentoring Initiative activities.
