Client Goals
The Investing in Innovation (i3) and Education Innovation and Research (EIR) program provides funding to Local Education Agencies (LEAs) and nonprofit organizations in partnership with one or more LEAs or a consortium of schools. This program aims to expand innovative practices that have demonstrated impact on improving student achievement or growth, closing achievement gaps, decreasing dropout rates, increasing high school graduation rates, or increasing college enrollment and completion rates. The OII engaged Safal to manage the i3 conferences, the purpose of these meetings was to promote information sharing among grantees, highlight best practices, and allow for dissemination with the public.
Safal Approach
The Office of Innovation and Improvement (OII) hosts Project Directors and Evaluators Meeting for all i3/EIR grantees to promote information sharing among grantees and highlight best practices. ED engaged Safal for four years in a row (2015-2018) to manage all stages of conference planning including agenda development, application development, site selection, attendee registration, facilitation, material preparation, invoicing, session development, and others. Safal Partner’s experience executing consecutive i3 conferences serves as a confirmation of Safal’s ability to deliver any event or convening need.
