Jesus Davila
Jesus Davila brings extensive public policy, research, and strategy consulting experience to Safal Partners. Prior to Safal, Jesus worked at Children at Risk, a Houston based research and advocacy group. While at Children at Risk he led their annual school rankings, a project that grades thousands of schools across Texas, providing data to parents, leaders, and policy makers. Also while at Children at Risk he managed a project to evaluate over 20,000 students longitudinally across five years, exploring correlations between high quality Pre-K attendance and third grade reading scores. Prior to Children at Risk he worked for the City of Houston within the Economic Development Division of the Mayor’s Office, conducting cost-benefit analyses, reviewing financial plans, and creating strategic frameworks. While at the City he served on the Open Data Advisory Board, and the city’s Leadership Advisory Group for Houston’s General Plan. Jesus was a 2008 Teach For America Corps Member and taught in Houston’s Sunnyside neighborhood. He graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. and B.A. in Economics and Philosophy. In 2013 he earned a Master in Public Policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government where he was awarded a Public Service Fellowship.
