Michelle Carson

Michelle brings more than 20 years’ experience in the fields of adult, career and technical education, workforce development, and higher education at the local, state, and national levels. Michelle is a national trainer for OCTAE’s LINCS Regional Professional Development Centers in College and Career Readiness Standards, Career Pathways, and Professional Development. Previously, Michelle managed two OCTAE national leadership activities—Designing Instruction for Career Pathways and LINCS, which included identifying, coordinating, and engaging SMEs in 16 different areas and a Career Pathways Technical Work Group with over 15 members.
Michelle has a demonstrated knack for engaging key stakeholders to garner input and build relationships. While the Adult Education State and Associate State Director, Michelle directed multiple federal and state initiatives such as OCTAE’s Standards in Action national dissemination project and also acted as the adult education lead on interagency projects including the USDOL, ETA funded Career Pathways Initiative, and the US Health & Human Services HPOG grant known as the Kansas Health Professional Opportunity Project. Michelle holds a M.S. in Adult and Continuing Education from Kansas State University.
